Gibbs Merges into Cimatron

Gibbs now has a much more competitive size in the CAM marketplace.  The merger provides 'deeper pockets' for increased security and the ability to finance long term software development projects. 

Gibbs leapfrogs its direct compeitors in overall size and also benefits from further diversifying its geographical sources of income. 

It continues to operate in Moorpark with no noticeable affect on Gibbs customers, employees or resellers.

Bill Gibbs continues as President of Gibbs and Associates and also has been named Vice President of Cimitron North America and given a seat on the Board of Directors of Cimatron Limited.

Cimatron Limited (Nasdaq: CIMT) is a leading worldwide provider of integrated CAD/CAM solutions for the toolmaking and manufacturing industries.

Combined annual revenues are expected to exceed $40M, moving the companies well into the top 10 CAM software vendors and leapfroging Gibbs' direct competitors in size and resources.

Record Sales of GibbsCAM in 2007

CIMdata forecasts Gibbs and Associates as one of the top three most rapidly growing CAM companies in 2007.

Oct 17th, 2007  GibbsCAM software continues to exceed all previous sales records in the company's 23 year history.  Revenue from new seat sales, upgrades and maintenance increased considerably, continuing the substantial ramp-up from the beginning of 2007.  The sales increase represented growth in both domestic and international markets. 

"It's always nice to see strong sales," comments Bill Gibbs, president and founder of Gibbs and Associates, "but setting a new monthly sales record is particularly gratifying.  Gibbs' investment to support multi-tasking machine tools continues to pay off with growing GibbsCAM MTM sales.  At the same time, sales of other GibbsCAM modules are also growing confirming GibbsCAM's suitability to a wide range of manufacturing disciplines.

In news which translates Gibbs' record sales into market share, the company was recently recognized by CIMdata in v16 of their NC Software and Services Market Assessment Report as one of the forecasted top three most rapidly growing CAM companies in 2007, based on vendor revenues.

The company released GibbsCAM 2007 in mid year and another major release of GibbsCAM - including the new 4 & 5 axis module - is due to ship any day.  These releases are  further enhancing sales performance.
